The Health Alliance has a small but dedicated team who oversee the day-to-day operations of the initiative. Working closely with the Joint Board Committee, the team leads the design, development and delivery of the Alliance programs.

General Manager

Ian Purcell is the General Manager of the Health Alliance between Metro North Health and Brisbane North PHN.  Ian has extensive experience across both public and private sector in policy development, program reform and change management in a range of health and social service settings to improve outcomes for consumers.He holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Public Health), from Queensland University of Technology, Graduate Certificate in Health Services Management from Griffith University and a Masters in Public Policy and Management from Monash University. Ian is looking forward to building on the achievements and ways of working developed by the Health Alliance and leading collaborative relationships to drive health system improvement and better health outcomes.

Alison Berigan is the Program Manager, Complex Care Models for the Health Alliance. Alison has a diverse skill set and history working in Operational Retail Management and Human Resources roles, and for the past 24 years working in health program and project management roles and training at National, State and Local levels. Alison has a successful track record working with primary care and hospital care providers and management to increase communication between providers to improve consumer health experiences and outcomes. Alison joined the Care Collective program in March 2023 and is enjoying working with the Caboolture and Redcliffe region stakeholders to enhance general practice capacity and improve coordination of care for people with chronic health conditions.

Annie Hemms is the Clinical Project Lead for Complex Care Models. Annie is an experienced clinical nurse having held roles in both public hospitals and primary care settings. She holds a Bachelor of Adult Nursing (Hons) from Oxford Brooks University, Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management and Diplomas in Bereavement Communication and Teaching and Assessing. Annie continues to use and develop skills gained during her career to support the Health Alliance with a clinical focus, developing programs that lead to improved health outcomes and provider experience.

Prior to commencing her role as Project Lead – Care Collective Redcliffe at Health Alliance in late 2023, Rohie worked in both private and not-for-profit clinical settings and completed a Bachelor of Public Health. Her work experience spans across areas such as project management, program design and reform, and health promotion, with a focus on equitable person-centred care and improving health outcomes. Rohie is enjoying the opportunity to work closely with each of the services involved in the Care Collective Redcliffe, as well as becoming more familiar with the processes of health system improvement.
